Happy holidays from VCC

Happy holidays from VCC

Dear VCC community,

As we approach the close of another year, I am filled with warmth and gratitude for each one of you who make our Vancouver Community College a vibrant and diverse place to learn and grow.

In just a few weeks, we'll be bidding farewell to 2023 and welcoming the new opportunities that 2024 will bring. Before we embark on the holiday break, I want to express my gratitude for the meaningful contributions everyone in the VCC community—faculty, staff, students, industry, and community partners—have made. There were many moments that made me proud to be part of the VCC community. Below are just a few that made 2023 so memorable.

As we celebrate this season, I am reminded of the richness and diversity that defines our college. Our community is a colorful mosaic of cultures, beliefs, and traditions, each thread adding strength and vibrancy to the fabric of our college. Whether you observe Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, or any of the myriad of traditions celebrated during this time, I encourage you to cherish moments with loved ones, reflect on your accomplishments, and embrace the spirit of generosity and goodwill.

As we step into 2024, I look forward to seeing how each of you will contribute to the ever-evolving story of our college. May the coming year bring us continued growth, learning, and opportunities to build bridges across our collective differences.

I hope everyone takes this time to relax, recharge, and reconnect with those who matter most to you. I invite you to share your holiday stories with peers and colleagues as we reconvene in the new year, ready to embark on another chapter of our journey together.
