Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship at VCC

News-Hawksworth-competition-380Vancouver Community College was proud to host the finals in the Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship competition on Saturday, September 12.

Chef Ian MacDougall from Model Milk, Calgary, was the winner of $10,000, a stage at a top international restaurant, and an incredible cooking set from le Creuset. Chef Cynthia Iaboni from Le Serpent, Montreal, was second, and Chef Alec Fraser from Toque!, Montreal, placed third.

The Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship Foundation is a culinary arts non-profit created to recognize and inspire young Canadian chefs, whilst promoting professionalism an‌d culinary excellence within the hospitality industry.
