A wonderful day was had on May 6 as adult burn survivors and others from the BC Professional Firefighters (BCPFF) Burn Fund joined VCC Baking and Pastry Arts students for a Mother’s Day cupcake baking event. Photos and write-up from Burnfund.org:
Just in time for Mother’s Day, a cupcake baking bonanza was hosted by the best Baking Arts School in the Province!
Vanilla and chocolate cupcakes were topped with sumptuous cream toppings and personally inscribed edible art. Volunteers were delightful, enthusiastic and inspirational under the solid leadership of Kimberly Tada.
This is always a special event. Thanks to everyone at Vancouver Community College for supporting the adult burn community and the BCPFF Burn Fund.
The beautiful baking book ‘Keep Calm and Bake Cupcakes’ was a special gift for everyone as generously donated by Raincoast Books.
