VCC humanities and Canada Council present: GEORGE McWHIRTERSpend the morning with this acclaimed Canadian writer, who will give a public reading of his work. The author of 10 books of poetry and three novels, McWhirter has won many awards and honours, including being appointed Vancouver's first Poet Laureate from 2007 to 2009. His recent book of poems titled, Verse Map of Vancouver, contains 92 poems on different city locations.
