Learn basic techniques in jewellery-making including piercing, filing, soldering, shaping, forming, design layout and application. Create original designs while working at your own jeweller's bench equipped with a torch and flexshaft tool. Additional costs for materials - approximately $50. List of supplies provided at first class. Registration deadline seven days prior to first class. (24 hours).

Design and fabricate a sterling silver band ring. Learn basic sawing, soldering, forming, finishing and texturing skills. Students will make their ring out of sterling silver. Students will learn the correct equipment techniques and safety protocols for the construction of metal jewellery. Leave with a finished ring. No previous jewelry making skills are required. Supply kit is included in tuition.

Learn the small scale metal working techniques needed to a make a 6" diameter copper bowl.  These techniques include sawing, filing, sanding, hammering, sinking and planishing.  Heat patina will be taught in the finishing steps. No previous jewelry making skills are required.
