Applied Music - Classical Voice I (MUSC 1130)

This course is the first of a sequence that covers vocal technique, lyric diction, repertoire preparation, presentation and communication skills.  Specific areas of focus and weekly/term goals are determined for each student individually as appropriate to vocal maturation and musical skill. This course also covers the components of good technique, and the development and understanding (conceptually, aurally & physically through mind, ear & body) of a common vocabulary of technical terms and their usage.  Italian and English repertoire are assigned.
