Adult Education - Diploma
Calling instructors of adult learners. Take the adult education diploma program to earn advanced qualifications to teach adult learners in industry, public institutions or private sectors. You'll learn training in adult learning, educational management, communications and curriculum design. The flexible, credit courses include cooperative learning, developmental psychology, interactive teaching and learning, and technology in education. Credits are transferable into the bachelor of arts in adult education at the University of the Fraser Valley. Graduates are also eligible for Simon Fraser University's master in education program, Royal Roads University's master in administrative leadership and training, University of Calgary's master in education or the University of Athabasca's master in education. Program Description
Courses are offered weekends and online. It is not necessary to take courses in sequence. All courses are offered on a full-time basis once a year in the summer (subject to student demand). Students taking the program on a part-time basis take from 12 to 18 months to complete.

General
VCC welcomes applications from Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students.
Exceptions

Convention refugees as designated by the federal government; Foreign live-in caregivers; Individuals with work permits valid for at least one year, covering the duration of studies; or those with Approval in Principle letters from Citizenship and Immigration Canada; Legal dependents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents (certain conditions apply); Diplomats and their direct dependents; International exchange students. VCC will require proof of citizenship, residency, diplomatic or refugee status. Please see VCC's policy relating to admission for non-citizens and non-residents for more information. |
