Study
Each year, more than 1500 international students from approximately 30 countries choose to enrol in any of the English as a Second Language and career programs that VCC offers. They come for our award-winning programs, highly-qualified faculty and a staff committed to helping them achieve their goals. They leave with certificates, diplomas and degrees that are well respected by other educational institutions and by industry professionals.
As an international student, you are welcome to enrol in any of the over 100 career programs that VCC offers.
VCC also offers specialized programs for:
International ESL students
General English and academic English programs that prepare students for entry into colleges, universities or other post-secondary institutions in British Columbia, and a short-term summer program for international students of all English language levels.
ESL career programs for international and local students
Career skills with additional English as a Second Language classes that covers the language required to communicate in the Canadian workplace.
Work
A job provides you with valuable skills, some extra money and the chance to learn about Canadian work practices. International students enrolled in many of VCC's career programs are eligible to work in Canada both during their studies and after graduation.
Live
During your studies at VCC, you can choose to live with a Canadian family in our homestay program. This gives you the opportunity to make new friends, learn more about Canadian culture and improve your English.
The great climate and culture of Vancouver make it one of the most liveable cities in the world and life outside the classroom is a big part of our students' experience in Canada. VCC International's recreation activities include sports, adventure, cultural and entertainment events, sightseeing and out-of-town trips.
